The Skagaströnd Museum of Prophecies opened in the summer of 2011. The exhibition focuses on Þórdís the fortune-teller, the first named inhabitant of Skagaströnd, who lived there in the late-10th century.

All kinds of interesting information about prophecies and fortune telling is featured in the exhibition.

Visitors can have their fortunes told and their palms read, and the children can investiage Þórdis's gold chest, where various exciting things are hidden.

There are also good hiking trails nearby, and some interesting and beautiful driving around the Skagi peninsula to Skagafjordur with historical sites and interesting natural features along the way.
