The Irish National Park opened in 1987 and covers over 40 acres of natural woodland and trails and features reconstructions of historic sites.
The park tells the history of Irish people from the Norman invasion in 1169. You can go through the park at your own pace or take one of the guided tours:

The Age of Invasion tour is the most popular and features the Viking site, which includes a Viking longhouse, boathouse and Viking ship built here in 2006 by staff from the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde. Visitors can book a "Daily Life in Viking Wexford" experience through Airbnb where they learn all about Vikings, from clothing and armours to buildings, traditions and customs.
A Fire Festival in September attracted reenactors from Ireland and England and will be developed further in coming years. From 2020, visitors will have the opportunity to stay in the Viking longhouse and live like Vikings for a day.
