Fotevikens Museum

Viking World Foteviken, an exciting open air museum bringing you back to the Viking Age with a reconstructed Viking town.

Fotevikens Museum is a reconstructed Viking town, which aims to bring history to life and convey cultural heritage to a wide audience, through experimental archaeology and living history.

The Viking Reserve of Foteviken was created to illustrate how a settlement might have looked during the late Viking Age and early Middle Age. A reconstructed Viking ship is based on an archaeological find in the Bay of Foteviken.

An extensive programme of activities is delivered annual, with one of the highlights being the Viking Market and Battle of Fotevik.
