The Viking Information Center on Wieringen, better known as VIC in the corridors, started in 2004 as a visitor center. The reason for the construction is the discovery of two silver treasures, attributed to the Vikings, near Westerklief on Wieringen.

The Way of the Vikings Foundation has participated in various international projects in recent years and has also realized various projects itself. We mention the lesson box Vikings, a mobile exhibition with many original objects from the Viking age and a booklet about the history of the North Holland North developed in the Early Middle Ages.
